Such issue for modern pages has been fixed in our 8.x.x.x versions. Also, workaround is described in such article:

Known Issue: Changes Are Not Saved When Users Hit Republish

  • IdentifiedUTC

Changes in ShortPoint elements might be not saved for some environments using 7.8.0.55 and lower versions.

We are currently investigating this issue and working to solve it for users who have reported it.

A possible workaround is to click the Save icon in ShortPoint Web Part before republishing the page.
